This product will be my 3rd choice. Cordyceps Cs-4 is a high quality product with a reasonable price. Cordyceps Cs-4 has been used in one study that was performed in New Zealand. The results of that study were published on American Physiological Society web site.

Product Content & Polysaccharides Concentration

Each bottle contains 90 easy to swallow capsules. The cordycep pills each have 400mg of cordycep extract in each vegetarian capsule. The product does not contain any harmful chemicals and is clinically certified. The only reason for ranking this product No. 3 is low percentage of polysaccharides, which are known as main active elements.

The higher the polysaccharides concentration the better the product gets absorbed by the body and the better polysaccharides can interact with our immune system. In addition, a high polysaccharides concentration means higher concentration of nutritional elements, such as vitamins, amino acids, minerals, essential fatty acids, enzymes, polysaccharides and other active chemical elements.

These capsules are perfect for those who does not have any health problems but want to enhance the immune system and give a boost to all body systems.

Shipping & Money Back Guarantee Period

This Cordyceps product does not come with a money back guarantee. No free shipping is available. Postage charges applies depending on destination.

  1. This is my second time taking this product and I saw no difference in how I feel, which is the primary reason for me taking it. However, I wouldn’t discourage another person from trying it, everyone’s body reacts to things differently.

  2. The base usage rate for standard CS-4 powder would have to be a minimum of 3 grams per day or higher, preferably 4 – 9 grams depending on your ailment.

    • Hi Richard

Thanks for your comment, however I’d like to bring to your attention that Cs-4 contains cordyceps extract not a powder, therefore the daily dosage you recommend is quite high. I would not recommend more than 2 capsules per day, which should be enough for maintaining a good “general” health.

      • Hi John
We all need to understand Cordyceps a little better. CS- 4 is the product of the fermentation of Paeciliomyces hepialis chen mycelia, the official Cordyceps strain for CS-4 which was released for commercial use in 1984. Additionally CS-4 is the dried powder of the filtered mycelia which is dried at 95 degrees Celsius to produce the powder. CS-4 is not sold as an extract by producers as CS-4 is simply a basic mycelia powder and extremely cheap, however some companies do extract CS-4 powder targeting different compounds, either polysaccharides or adenosine.
In China today CS-4 is used by some practitioners, however at nothing less than 3gm per day and usually a lot more, most suggesting 3gm per day is a maintenance level only. We must remember that CS-4 is essentially the powder of a mushroom.. a basic food.

As large Pharmaceutical companies race for profit we can see a classic example with CS-4 in Pharmanex CS-4 “STAMINA BOOST” (Australia) and “CORDYMAX” (USA), they claimed STAMINA BOOST/CORDYMAX at 1gm per day would increase your stamina level, this was proven incorrect in trials of the Phamanex products. The question, remains why did they fail?
CS-4 at 1gm per day is nothing more than a drain on your wallet for a stamina effect. If they had claimed a perceived stamina benefit at 3gm per day or higher, then the later studies may have been positive. Pharmaex simply read some sudies and thought any Cordyceps could achieve a stamina effect at 1 gm per day and purchased the cheapest CS-4 product available to package and sell.

From our studies, lab testing and our pharmacist suggestions is that you will require at least 6gm per day of CS-4 to produce a stamina effect in 75% of consumers.

What is concerning to us in the market place is the loose usage of the word EXTRACT. Powders are powers and extracts are extracts, there is a vast difference.

        • Hi Richard
